Allegheny Technologies Selects AXIS to Upgrade
Service Center Management Systems

Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (ATI) has selected AXIS Computer Systems, Inc. (AXIS) and the AXIOM® Enterprise Resource Management System to upgrade the company’s information systems at four domestic service centers and one international service center. ATI will implement AXIOM/mx Open sales, production, quality, and finance applications at their Allegheny Rodney strip service centers located in Pennsylvania, Illinois, South Carolina, and Germany and within ATI West in California.

AXIOM will replace several in-house developed systems with a comprehensive integrated solution deployed on IBM UNIX servers. AXIS and AXIOM were selected by ATI after a thorough evaluation of ERP vendors and products.

The Allegheny Rodney Division of Allegheny Ludlum Corporation, an Allegheny Technologies company, processes and distributes stainless steel and specialty metal strip products, including austenitic, ferritic, martensitic, precipitation hardening, high-temperature, and nickel alloys as well as titanium and carbon alloys. Allegheny Rodney serves the automotive, consumer products, and computer parts markets.
