Hendrix Wire and Cable Powers Up with AXIOM®
Hendrix Wire and Cable, Inc. is now using
the AXIOM® Enterprise Resource Management System from
AXIS Computer Systems to support the company’s sales,
production and financial management operations. Hendrix has
implemented the current version of AXIOM/mx Open on an IBM
UNIX server to replace their previous custom-developed system
operating on an AS/400.
In a letter to AXIS President, Ed Verock following
the cut-over to AXIOM, Hendrix Wire and Cable President,
Thomas F. Brennan
stated: “I want to personally thank AXIS for the outstanding
support your organization provided Hendrix as we brought
AXIOM on line. As we went through the process, it was clear
the folks on your end were as committed as we were. …Please
express my sincere gratitude to everyone at AXIS that played
a role in helping make our transition a successful one.”
Hendrix selected AXIOM after evaluating a
number of leading ERP packages. Clay Schmick, Hendrix IT
Director stated: “After
reviewing the market, we could see that AXIOM was the leading
ERP solution for the wire and cable industry. Of all the
packages we looked at, AXIOM was by far the best fit for
our manufacturing and business processes; and the fact that
so many other wire and cable manufacturers were already using
AXIOM made the decision that much easier. Working with AXIS
as the beta site for the new release had its challenges,
but the result is that we now have an excellent platform
for improving our operational and business performance and
for delivering more value to our customers.”
