Hendrix Wire and Cable Achieves Customer Integration using AXIOM® and iWay Solutions

Used with the iWay Transformation Engine, the AXIOM Adapter enables companies using AXIOM as their enterprise business system to easily automate EDI and Internet-based transactions with customers, suppliers, and partners. The iWay Transformation Engine utilizes protocol listeners, agents, and the AXIOM ERP adapter to receive, send, and transform incoming and outgoing transactions from/to any XML, EDI, or comma-delimited file format. Combined with AXIOM, this provides a flexible and cost-effective framework for collaborative B2B solutions with any number of partner companies, regardless of their respective internal business systems.

In addition to replacing virtually all manual entry of EDI orders, saving significant human effort, the iWay/AXIOM solution is also being used to connect Hendrix’s AXIOM system to a web-based exchange, opening a whole new sales channel for the company. Hendrix also plans to share messages related to VMI, delivery schedule, and credit hold situations in the near future. “Leveraging AXIOM with automated system-to-system communications is helping us to further improve our service levels and customer loyalty while reducing activity costs,” adds Schmick.
