AXIOM® Release 4.6 Provides Enhanced Tag Scheduling, Contract Management, Non-Conformance Material Tracking and More

User Interface, System Administration, & Many Other Capabilities Also Enhanced

Release 4.6 of the AXIOM Enterprise Resource Management System is now available. The newest release of AXIS Computer Systems' industry leading software solution delivers dozens of new and enhanced capabilities to support metals producers, processors, and service centers, as well as wire and cable manufacturers. Important new or greatly enhanced capabilities include:

• New Tag Scheduling - the ability to develop mill line-ups based on individual tag (slabs, coils, etc.) attributes and processing requirements in order to minimize setups and changeovers, and to reduce roll wear
• New Sales Contract Management - the ability to manage and maintain visibility of customer purchase commitments by recording sales contracts and tracking cumulative actual order quantities against them
• Enhanced Non-Conforming Material Tracking - the ability to identify and track non-conforming material, prevent its unintended use or delivery, and maintain records of actions taken
• Enhanced Slit Order Processing - special work order capabilities designed to help metals service centers and other coil processors optimize available inventory and individual coil usage while streamlining setup and improving machine utilization; includes capabilities for oscillate wound coils
• Enhanced Outside Processing Management - scheduling, tracking, costing, and out/return/direct customer shipment management New Automated Freight Accrual Calculations - automatic freight cost calculations based on shipment and carrier information; PO matching

In addition, release 4.6 delivers numerous user-driven enhancements requested by the AXIS metals, wire and cable user community via the AXIS User Society (AX-US). Enhanced functional areas include: Cost Accounting, Finance, Inventory Control, Material Requirements Planning, Material Tracking and Control, Process/Routings, Purchasing and receiving, Quality Tracking and Control, Sales Order Management, and System Administration. Several enhancements to the AXIOM user interface are also included I release 4.6. Together, these enhancements provide valuable capabilities to help companies using AXIOM:

• Simplify production control and reporting
• More effectively manage production allocations across customers
• More easily meet ISO-9001:2000 requirements
• More easily comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
