Sharon Tube Selects ERP Solution From AXIS

Leading Steel Pipe and Mechanical Tube Manufacturer to Implement AXIOM® Software at Five Locations

Sharon Tube, a leading manufacturer of welded pipe, seamless pipe, and mechanical tubing, has selected the AXIOM® Enterprise Resource Management System as the company’s new business and manufacturing management system. Sharon Tube will implement AXIOM throughout the company, including headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Sharon, Pennsylvania, and additional manufacturing facilities located in Wheatland, Pennsylvania, Niles Ohio, and Brookfield, Ohio.

Sharon Tube selected AXIOM after evaluating ERP solutions from a number of suppliers. “Upgrading our information systems is a key part of our strategy to further improve customer responsiveness while expanding our value-added services and adding new product lines,” stated Bill Perrine, Sharon Tube President. “We ultimately chose AXIS as our partner because they understand the metals industry and have developed a standard solution we can deploy pretty much as-is. That gives us a very cost-effective way to leverage technology and industry best practices without having to be in the software business ourselves.”
