Haynes Wire Company Selects AXIS ERP Solution
Haynes International Subsidiary to Implement
AXIOM® Enterprise Resource Management System
Haynes Wire Company, a leading producer of high-quality
stainless and nickel alloy wires, has selected the AXIOM® Enterprise
Resource Management System as the company’s new business
and manufacturing management information system. Haynes Wire
Company is a subsidiary of Haynes International, Inc., a
leading manufacturer and marketer of technologically advanced,
high-performance alloys.
Haynes Wire Company selected the AXIOM solution after an
in-depth evaluation of several ERP solutions. “We chose
the AXIS solution because it’s clearly the best fit
to our wire manufacturing business,” stated Steve Schooley,
Haynes Wire Company Chief Operating Officer. “We also
have confidence in AXIS’ ability to help us effectively
implement AXIOM based on the experiences of other companies
similar to ours.”

of the systems we evaluated, AXIOM has all of the fundamental
operational controls needed
to run the business today, and to support our future plans.
But it stood out, in part, because it has the best heat/lot
tracking capabilities of any of the packages we looked at.
That capability is critical to providing the quality standards
and certifications our customers need. We would have had
to significantly modify the other packages in order to do
what AXIOM already does in that area.”
AXIOM will replace
an aging set of disparate systems with a single, enterprise-wide
solution deployed on Windows 2003
servers and a network of PCs. In addition to helping streamline
key business and production processes, the integrated system
will provide Haynes Wire Company with an improved foundation
for achieving Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Haynes Wire Company
expects to go live with the new system in mid-2006.
Formed
when Haynes International acquired the assets of Branford
Wire and Manufacturing Company in late 2004, Haynes Wire
Company ranks among the world's leading producers of high-quality
stainless and nickel alloy wires. It provides manufacturers
around the globe with a broad variety of wires, each custom-engineered
to the precise tolerance, finish, alloy and physical properties
desired. The wire produced at the company’s Mountain
Home, North Carolina mill is an essential material in hundreds
of industries and applications including weaving, braiding,
