Uniti LLC Implementing AXIOM® for New Titanium Products Manufacturing Business

Uniti LLC has selected and begun implementation of the AXIOM Enterprise Resource Management System from AXIS Computer Systems, Inc. (AXIS) as the company’s primary business system. Uniti LLC is a joint venture formed by Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: ATI) and Russian-based VSMPO-AVISMA to produce and market a range of commercially pure and alloy titanium products for industrial applications, globally. The joint venture does not market aerospace, military, or medical products. These will be continue to be sold by each partner

With formation of Uniti LLC just announced in April of this year, AXIOM is being implemented as the company ramps up operations. Portions of the system are already live, including certain purchasing, accounts payable, invoicing, and accounts receivable functions, as well as general ledger. In addition to supporting all sales, procurement, and financial management functions, AXIOM will be used to track inventory and production across sites in both the United States and Russia.

Manufacturing of Uniti™ products will be done through conversion agreements with VSMPO-AVISMA and ATI. In this innovative arrangement, ATI and VSMPO-AVISMA will each retain ownership of their respective facilities made available to Uniti. VSMPO-AVISMA and ATI will market and sell these joint venture titanium products exclusively through Uniti. Plans are for production to occur in Russia at VSMPO-AVISMA facilities in Verkhnaya Salda and in Berezniki, Perm Region. ATI’s facilities involved in production are located in Houston, PA, Washington, PA, Vandergrift, PA, Monroe, NC, Richburg, SC, Albany, OR and Richland, WA.

Titanium product forms offered by Uniti include ingot, slab, sheet, strip, plate, billet, bar, seamless tubing and welded tubing. Uniti’s target markets include chemical and petroleum processing, power generation, desalination, pulp and paper, construction and architecture, automotive and transportation, consumer and electronics.
